october hours

Starting in October we will be open by chance or appointment only.
There are still lots of flowers blooming in the garden .One of my favorites is Anemone Japonica "Honorine Jobert"(white) and Dendrahema weyrichi.That little plant has about 50 blooms right now.It is growing in my rock garden in very poor soil( 70% sand).They are relay good addition to any garden.

September is perfect to plant perennials and trees. We will be open until October .

Podophyllum hexandrum

I started this one from seeds few years ago.I have only one plant so far .It is so beautiful.Gorges flowers,ornamental foliage and huge seed heads. Perfect for woodland garden. I will tray to split it in spring .

The rock garden is full of blooms. Almost all Sempervivums and cacti are blooming now.

1st Bus Tour

June 27th,2009 we were lucky enough to have a wonderful group(over 40 in all) from the Parkdale (Toronto) Hort. club
We were the last stop that day for them as the wandered through the display gardens/seed beds and nursery area.
It was great to meet the many members, and I'm sure we will be seeing many of them again!Here are a few pics.
